Adult Sunday School Classes

Our church is blessed with many outstanding and devoted teachers in the Sunday School department.

First Presbyterian offers an excellent selection of Bible studies for adults on Sunday mornings! If you are not yet involved with a class, I encourage you to take advantage of this weekly opportunity for fellowship and growth in grace. -- Arrington Rhett, Christian Education Committee

Here is the current line-up of adult classes and the topics of study this summer:


ABF II Sunday School Class


Study:       A study on Jeremiah

Teacher:    Ruling Elder Charlie Greer

Location:   Currie Hall #207


Join this class of couples and singles who are primarily in their 40's, 50's, and 60's. This class is fun, caring, and a bit quirky.  Join in—you will fit right in.

Caleb Sunday School Class

 

Study:       Paul's letters to the Thessalonians

Location:    Now meeting in Currie Hall #206


This class is made up of college students, singles and couples in their 20s, 30s, 40s & 50s. 

Dorcas Sunday School Class


Study:         A study in Proverbs

Teachers:    Virginia Morris

Location:     Classroom F-103 in the Fellowship Hall Building


This class is made up of ladies of all ages, with the format being one of discussion and teaching.

Faulkner-Holland Sunday School Class



Study:        Book of Psalm

This is a wonderful class of senior adult ladies young at heart who share a close and caring bond of Christian love. They invite visitors to join them as they study this Christian Classic. The ladies ponder questions of our faith. "What were we made for? What aim should we set for ourselves in life? What is the eternal life that Jesus gives? What is the best thing in life? " To know God and have the knowledge of God is the theme of this significant study.

McIntosh Sunday School Class
