Welcome to Women in the Church

at First Presbyterian Church

All women who become members of First Presbyterian Church are assigned to one of three WIC circles  These circles meet once a month for Bible study, fellowship time and a business meeting to discuss the specific ministries supported by WIC.   If you would like to find out more information or to find out when your group meets, please contact our church office.

FOUNDATION
The authority of God's Word and the theological standards of the Presbyterian Church in America.

OVERSIGHT
The General Assembly has assigned the Women in the Church ministry to the Committee on Christian Education and Publications.

STRATEGY
Discipling God's Covenant People is Christian Education and Publications' overarching vision. The Women in the Church's ministry portion is to encourage and equip women to think biblically and live covenantally. We accomplish this through resources and training that are called Biblical Foundations for Womanhood.

PURPOSE
That every woman in the church know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.
