ev. Norman Bagby on March 12, 2010
When you read this, Fran and I, Lord willing, will either be returning from North Carolina (Friday), or already be back (Saturday). Thanks for your prayers for us as we traveled, and for me as I attended the Conference on The Nature and Sufficiency of Scripture sponsored by Greenville Presbyterian Seminary in Greenville, S.C. I owe my thanks to the Session for allowing me to attend this conference.
It’s time to register for our monthly luncheon. We will meet Thursday, March 18, 2010. Dominoes will be at 10 a.m., lunch at 12 noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. We will have Bill Prout and some men from Christian Services to share with us about what they do and how God uses Christian Services in a variety of ways. Call the church office at 601-268-0303 to register.
Alden Pointe Assisted Living has asked me to lead devotions for the residents there on the third and fourth Mondays at 9:30 a.m. I would appreciate your prayers for me as I share God’s Word with the residents there. Also continue to pray for Knox and myself as we lead the chapel service for Provision Living on the second and third Sundays at 3 p.m. I will also continue to lead the chapel service at Wesley Manor on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. Thank you for your prayers. Also, if any of you can play the piano for any of these services, you would be a great help to us. I would let you know which hymns we would sing. Call me if you would like to help.
Upcoming at the Saenger Theater: The City Band Concert will be Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 3 p.m.
Paul Herring is working on our trip to Palmer Home. It will either be May 1 or 8 (a Saturday). We will tour Palmer Home, eat lunch there, go to Mrs. Youngblood’s (Mary Shull’s mother), visit an Amish Shoppe and then return to Hattiesburg. That means we will need to leave Hattiesburg at 8 a.m. Reserve those dates. I will let you know which one soon.
